A testimony from a participant living in Portugal, affiliated to the local Masorti organization, that, although was not an official partner, decided to take part and participate to part of the project.
" This project has revolutionized the way of studying, caused a greater unity among the organization's members and motivated them to greater interaction among all. After starting the project attended the following changes: a) Before L.E.T Grundtivg: general ignorance of the hierarchy, who was who and who was doing what. After L.E.T Grundtvig greater and clearer identification of the bodies of direction and what is their role.
b) Before Grundtvig the power concentrated on 2 or 3 persons. After Grundtvig: decentralization of roles within the organization and transparent information on the actual situation of the organization (here I speak at all levels, whether monetary or their rules and procedures that also nobody knew for sure).
c) More meetings in the organization, then more discussion of outstanding issues, further study (introduction of Hebrew classes), development chazans and service leaders plan, more ideas, more action . Also we began to develop in advance of our events and this led to a greater involvement and greater visibility for the entire organization.
d) Before L.E.T Grundtvig: The service was limited and followed within the possible and in the end we just read the parasha. After Gruntvig: Personal and communal growth and development, the service became more vigorous, more participatory and the Parsha began to be discussed, which caused a greater understanding, sharing our different ways of thinking and seeing things. Above all it was discussed also how to use that Parsha today with past examples.
e) Before L.E.T Grundtvig: We had no idea of the functioning of other organizations and their events. After Grundtvig, we now have a more realistic idea of how they worked . Exchanging ideas was always enriching and motivating. We learned that sometimes we have the solution right in front of us with a very simple action.
In fact the gain was the guidance that L.E.T Grundtvig provided us in our meetings. In the background we all have abilities, we just did not know how to use them. L.E.T Grundtvig came to offer us these tools."
