A partnerszervezetekkel közösen rendezett programok is fontos tanulási lehetőségnek számítottak. 2009-ben indult el a Social Action Exchange program, melynek résztvevői részben a közösség tagjai közül kerültek ki, valamint a külföldi partnerekkel számos közös program került megszervezésre. A közösség tagjai közül sokan továbbra is vállalkoztak és vállalkoznak folyamatosan arra, hogy hétről-hétre ismertessék a hetiszakaszt, és valamilyen személyes kiegészítéssel is szolgáljanak hozzá. A saját, rendszeres oktatási projekt 2012-ben indult, mégpedig a Masorti Olami támogatásának köszönhetően. Dor
Hadas Budapest is an inclusive, grassroots Jewish organization, which defines
itself in positive terms. It has been running informally since 2007, was
registered in 2011 and became affiliated to Masorti Europe in 2012.
It was set up in Budapest first as a local Marom group, and subsequently Dor Hadas was founded for members seeking a more intensive religious life. There is strong co-operation between the two organizations, especially for the different festivals organized by Marom as well as the major Jewish holidays run by Dor Hadas. The other pillar of partnership is the Moishe House Budapest for weekly religious events. Both of our organizations participated in the Grundtvig Learning Partnership, and our main aim was the dissemination and delivery of Jewish culture, which is important to us since our community is composed of young adults, who often did not receive a structured Jewish education. The mission of our organizations is to help our members increase their knowledge of Judaism and ensure that they can experience a practical Jewish life. Within this framework, we have offered weekly parasha (Torah portion) analyses from our inception and, as time has passed, we have invited rabbis and experts in Jewish studies to visit us on occasion for the major holidays. Common programmes organized with other Hungarian and international groups have also provided important milestones in our development. For example, the Social Action Exchange program was started in 2009. Its participants were selected partly from our membership, and a number of joint programmes have been organized with foreign partners. Many of our members undertake to personally contribute to Dor Hadas by presenting the weekly Torah portion. Our own systematic educational project was launched in 2012, with the support of Masorti Olami. This course takes place once a week and is taught in several groups according to the different levels of knowledge. The lessons are based on learning Hebrew (both modern and biblical), and they also include additional information about cultural and religious history. The teacher is one of the founders of Dor Hadas, a PhD fellow and lecturer at the local Department of Assyriology and Hebrew. Thanks to this course, many members can now easily follow the liturgy of the prayer book in Hebrew. Learning the Hebrew language plays a key role in building the identity of Jewish youth in Hungary.
